For the graphic design of this catalogue and exhibition, we developed a structure that accommodates a range of images and text types and scales within a cohesive system - much as the work of legendary Chicago architect Bertrand Goldberg functioned on scales ranging from the micro (furniture) to the macro (urban planning). This versatile system allowed us to complete the book and exhibition graphics within a short time frame, yet provided flexibility and consistency. Architectural collaborator John Ronan designed the exhibition, modeled after the plan of Goldberg’s Marina City towers.
The College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University needed to refresh its position as an educator of cultural leaders. To assist a new dean in realizing her goals, we worked with faculty, staff and students to define their mission, vision and values. We then translated this strategy into a brand personality, identity system and website.
